Sustainability Charter
At Daisies in May Flower Farm and Florist, sustainability is the core of our business. We grow our own flowers and when other stems are needed, seek to source them locally and regionally. Our focus on seasonality and native plants produces stunning flowers in a range of colors, sizes, and textures that define our region. We avoid pesticides, chemicals, dyed or painted flowers. We compost green waste, re-use cardboard and packaging, and recycle. Avoiding plastics and petroleum-based products is important, especially single-use items. Our farm produces more energy than it uses with solar panels, hybrid vehicle, and water monitoring. Stewarding our land with no-till farming practice, planting native trees, shrubs, and perennials is a priority for our home, neighborhood, and wildlife habitat.
